Wintek achieves 56% revenue growth in 2000

Wintek (2384 ‘Sheng Hua’) posted Dec. revenue of NT$407m, the lowest monthly sales record during 2000. Overall 2000 sales jumped 56% YoY to NT$6.57b, boosted by increasing Motorola (US) orders in 1H00. Motorola is the company’s largest customer, filling around 40% of Wintek’s handset LCM shipments. Handset LCM accounted for around 50% of total sales in 2000. We maintain our forecast that handset LCM will continue to be a key revenue growth driver, despite Wintek end 1Q01plans to begin shipment of PDA LCD panel.
