Inflation, still no cause for concern

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) was up 1.7% YoY in Dec., pushing the index up 1.3% YoY for the full year. We forecast CPI growth to come in at a manageable 2.0% in 2001, giving the Central Bank room to lower interest rates in 1Q01.
