Acer revenues decline 18% YoY

Acer (2306 ‘Hong Dian’) saw an 18% YoY decline in 2000 revenues to about NT$104.5b, reflecting a decrease in OEM orders and lower than expected own brand PC growth. Dec. preliminary sales came in at NT$7b, the lowest level for two years. However two other PC makers, First International (2319 Da Zhong) and MITAC International (2315 Shen Da) showed better performance, achieving yearly sales growth of 18% and 56%, respectively.
