Semiconductor Dec. revenue scorecard

TSMC (2330 ‘Tai Ji Dian’) reported Dec. 2000 revenue of NT$18.3b, with MoM growth of 0.8%. UMC (2303 ‘Lian Dian’) posted revenue of NT$10.2b during the same period, down 5.4% MoM while Dec. 2000 saw the first sequential decline for the year. TSMC came in 0.9% ahead of its financial forecast for the year with total revenue of NT$166.3b. UMC fell behind by 0.4% on target revenue (which had been revised up during Oct. 2000), with NT$105b for the whole year. Meanwhile, Winbond (2344 ‘Hua Bang Dian’) posted Dec 2000 revenue of NT$3.08b, down 22% MoM.
