4Q00 securities earnings

With the Taiwan stock market suffering reduction in transaction volume in 4Q00, 54 of the 150 securities companies in Taiwan saw losses. Among listed Taiwan securities companies, Yuanta Securities (6004 ‘Yuan Da Zheng’) was again most profitable, returning a profit of NT$2.4b in 2000. Second was Jih Sun Securities (6014 ‘Ri Sheng Zheng’), followed by Capital Securities (6005 ‘Qun Yi Zheng) in third.
