Construction of 4th nuclear power plant back on track

• Prime Minister Cheng Chun-hsiung and Legislative Yuan Speaker Wang Jin-pyng last night formally signed a compromise ensuring that construction of the fourth nuclear power plant will resume.

• In return for the concession on the project made by the DPP ruling party, the opposition agreed to work toward a nuclear free Taiwan. Negotiations on the future of the nuclear power plant will restart after construction is resumed.
