Cabinet seeking to increase efficiency

• Following criticism by President Chen last week that the Cabinet is inefficient, the Premier yesterday announced an action plan to reduce bureaucracy in the government by downsizing the number of agencies run by the Executive Yuan from 34 currently to 25. It is rumoured that a Cabinet reshuffle may be on the cards.
