Market still rife with speculation on Realtek March revenue

• Speculation as to Realtek's (2379 'Rui Yu') March revenue is continuing, with latest reports suggesting the figure may be as high as NT$600m. This would represent a MoM increase of 39%.

• Our sources indicate that network equipment manufacturers have been increasing orders for networking ICs and that orders in March stand at more than NT$500m. Strong revenue on mouse ICs and scanner ICs will add to the outstanding monthly numbers.

• We remain confident on Realtek's prospects in 2001 given its leading position in the networking IC sector and growing market demand for broadband.
