Faraday forms alliance with UK firm

• Development: Faraday Technology Corp. (5404 'Zhi Yuan') and ARM (UK listed) announced yesterday that Faraday has become a design licensee under the ARM Foundry Program.

• Analysis: We expect the strategic alliance with ARM to step up Faraday's presence in international design services market, which his will increase the number of overseas customers and revenues.

• Primasia View: We believe that any positive financial impact from the alliance will not be realized before 2002 at the earliest.
