Earthquake has minimal effect on industry

• Development: Two earthquakes (measuring 6.4 and 6.2 on the Richter scale) hit Taiwan over the past two days, leaving little damage.

• Analysis: Preliminary reports suggest that Taiwan’s all-important electronics sector was not impacted in a material way, as there was no disruption of the power grid.

• Primasia view: No changes to our stock and sector ratings will be made.
