Prodisc to go ex-dividend today

• Development: Prodisc will go ex-dividend today for 33% stock and 2% cash. The company is also expected to lower its financial forecasts.

• Analysis: For 2001, we estimate Prodisc having a net profit of NT$452m and EPS of NT$1.13 on 392m outstanding shares after today’s ex-dividend. Our forecast is significantly lower than the company’s.

• Primasia View: Overall, the CD-R sector has shown signs of recovery, however we expect Prodisc to miss management’s revised earnings forecast for the year.
