Asustek sees robust sales in June

• Development: Asustek estimates a 10% to 15% MoM sales increase in June, a sign that the MB industry is bottoming.

• Analysis: On the back of scheduled shipments of OEM orders for 3Q01, we estimate that Asustek will show at least 15% MoM growth in MB shipments for July of 1.1m pcs up from 0.95m pcs.

• Primasia View: Adding to the 75% QoQ increase in NB shipment and NT$4.40 EPS in 1H01, we believe that Asustek is capable of generating EPS of NT$9.50 in 2001.
