MTI rallies on revenue rumor

• Development: MTI’s share price rebounded sharply last Friday as the company’s June revenue was rumored to be around NT$400m, up 50% MoM.

• Analysis: We believe this rebound is likely due to delayed shipments in May and do not see any sustainable short-term revenue improvement.

• Primasia View: We expect revenue in 3Q01 to remain flat but anticipate revenue in 4Q01 to improve due to shipments of 2.5G and 3G transmission components.
