Ambit orders on the rise

• Development: Ambit's management expressed an optimistic view for 3Q01, as high shipment levels in ADSL modems are expected.

• Analysis: We believe ADSL modem shipment will reach a record-high of between 800-850k units in 3Q01 on the back of increasing shipments to Chunghwa Telecom and Yahoo Japan.

• Primasia View: While Ambit's other business segments are on track, we believe the firm will enjoy enhanced premiums on its P/E ratio based on high order visibility. .
