TCC reports record revenue and earnings

• Development: TCC announced July revenue reached NT$4.3bn, a 0.7% growth increase MoM with monthly pretax earnings of NT$1.7bn, 20% up MoM, both record highs.

• Analysis: The jump, largely contributed by TCC’s discontinuation of discounts to handset distributors, will allow the firm to maintain accounts providing rebates to heavy users.

• Primasia View: We believe TCC’s focus will concentrate on high ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) subscribers. We expect TCC to experience continued growth in both revenue and earnings.
