VIA expects 2H01 revenue to climb

• Development: VIA expects August revenue to post a MoM increase, as the firm has won NB DDR chipset orders from Toshiba over rival ALI (5393.TT).

• Analysis: VIA’s monthly revenues in 2H01 will likely post gradual sequential growth as delivery of P4x266 chipsets kicks in for the seasonal back-to-school uptick.

• Primasia View: We believe VIA’s monthly revenue bottomed out in July and reiterate our recommendation on this counter.
