ProMos (5387) NT$14.20

Neutral

  • ProMos reported 3Q01 net income at negative NT$1.9bn (EPS -NT$0.58), a 39% QoQ expansion in loss. As of end-Sept., firm reported net income losses of NT$3.8bn (EPS -NT$1.18), caused by a sluggish DRAM price. However, a profit and loss sharing agreement between Mosel (2342 TT), Infineon and ProMos has significantly reduced the negative impact of the financial downturn. ProMos’ 300mm fab has progressed impressively - the yield rate on 12-inch wafers just surged into double digits. Firm expects to begin the 12-inch wafer qualification process in 4Q01.
