To benefit from alliance with Symbol

• Symbol, (revenue of US$1.5bn in FY00) one of the world's leading vertical integrated wireless players specializing in retailing, transportation and hospitals, will team up with D-Link’s R&D force to engineer new wireless LAN products. D-Link will be responsible for manufacturing the new products and a portion of Symbol’s existing products. D-Link will receive initial orders for wireless cards (100k) and expects increased shipments in 2002. We believe this strategic alliance will not only increase orders for D-Link but also provide advanced technology and strong reference.
